Dr Demetrius Voutnis studied history and literature at the University of Sydney, medicine at the University of Newcastle and trained at John Hunter Hospital before subspecialising in Nuclear Medicine at the University of Cambridge Department of Nuclear Medicine at Addenbrookes Hospital in the UK. He has contributed extensively to nuclear medicine publications, including leading textbooks in the field.
Dr Voutnis has special interests in:
- Infection imaging, particularly the painful prosthesis
- Oncology, including PET-CT
- Bone Density
- Interventional Therapy
- Cardiology including Nuclear Myocardial Perfusion Imaging and is also an Accredited Specialist in CT Coronary Angiography

Todd graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney, in 1996 with a Bachelor of Applied Science majoring in Biomedical Science and Biotechnology. Spending the next 3 – 4 years in a high pressure stat laboratory covering a number of disciplines, Todd’s natural ability in business and his market orientation saw him progress into a Client Services role focussing on maintaining existing business and exploring areas for market growth.
In 2003 Todd joined the Senior Management Team of Hunter Imaging Group as Client Services Manager, steering the company’s Marketing and Growth efforts. In 2009, his role further expanded to include operational responsibility of 9 Diagnostic Imaging centres, the Hunter Imaging Group centralised typing department, Patient Services Department (call centre) and the Courier Department.
In 2013 and while working full-time, Todd completed an MBA at The University of Newcastle with distinction.
With over 18 years experience in the diagnostics industry, Todd dedicates his time working with the team at Hunter Imaging Group to ensure patients and referrers are the recipients of first class, efficient and caring diagnostic imaging services.
